To overcome with concerned social challenges in Japan, the Japan government, as well as the private sector are searching for open innovation from overseas to help stimulating and inspiring the development of innovation and entrepreneurship within Japan. An Invest Japan Seminar will be held in Meet Taipei - Global Stage, from the aspect of regional charms, the seminar will carry out topics on the ecosystem, investment environment, efforts of Japanese companies promoting open innovation, collaboration cases between Japanese and Taiwanese companies, and the potential for innovation in Japan through support from research institutions.

Rainmaking Innovation operates the Startupbootcamp programs, which started in 2010 in Copenhagen, Denmark and since have grown to be active in over 30 countries around the world. The Startupbootcamp SCALE Osaka program brings mature startups and scaleups for around the world to collaborate with large Japanese corporate partners as a trusted pathway to entering the Japanese market. Prior to his role as Managing Director of Startupbootcamp SCALE Osaka, Joshua was most recently the Director of New South Wales state government initiative Sydney Startup Hub, a $35M project supporting 480 Australian startup companies. He has previously held positions as head of the University of New South Wales startup program, supporting over 700 startups and is the co-founder of cross-border innovation firm Innovation Dojo and Managing Director of edutech scaleup StudyLink K.K.

O-BIC was founded in 2001 by the Osaka Prefectural Government, the Osaka City Government, and the Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry in a joint initiative. As your one-stop service center for your business investing, O-BIC provides prospective foreign investors with a comprehensive yet detailed support system. After 10 year career of supporting Japanese companies’ entrance in China at OCCI, Liang Yu joined O-BIC in 2008 as a manager. Liang has engaged in promoting foreign investment in Osaka for over 10 years and supported more than 300 companies to enter in Osaka.

Aichi-Nagoya International Business Access Center (I-BAC) is an organization jointly established by the Aichi Prefectural Government, the City of Nagoya, the Nagoya Port Authority and the Nagoya Chamber of Commerce & Industry. I-BAC’s mission is to support foreign-affiliated companies which intend to expand their business operations into Aichi-Nagoya. To assist them, from 2006, I-BAC offers free“one-stop”services including information, consulting and advice.

KSP, Inc. was founded in 1986 as a core organization of the Kanagawa Science Park with the cooperation of Kanagawa Prefecture, Kawasaki City, and public and private companies. Since its foundation, it has focused on supporting venture companies and have provided assistance including the startups, growth, IPOs (initial public offering) to over 500 venture companies to date. It offers effective support by taking advantage of accumulated expertise, constructed networks, etc. With working experience at an international law firm, Mr. Harada engaged in collaboration between industry and academia as well as incubation business at Keio University. After resigning, he served as an executive officer of a venture company of development of Electric Vehicle. He joined KSP in 2014.

Kanagawa Prefecture is the second largest prefecture in population and have industrial clusters with global companies represented by “Nissan Motors”, and many SME companies that have advanced technology. Dalian Office of Kanagawa Industrial Promotion Center is the only one of the representative office of Kanagawa Prefecture in China area. Naohiko Iwata Joined Kanagawa Prefectural Government in 2006. After working in overseas business in Bangkok(Thailand),He had been in charge of attracting foreign companies to invest Kanagawa in Investment Promotion Division. Since 2019, He have been working on investment promotion related to Kanagawa and China areas in the Dalian Office.

With the opportunity given by Fukuoka’s 「Startup visa」program, Golface’s Japanese‘s branch was founded to provide Japanese golfer with smart golf services including smartphone applications and GPS strategy with aerial video and AI communication. After graduated from National Chaio Tung University in Taiwan, Ian started his first job as sales representative at Johnson and Johnson. His passion for golf started with video game. But only after going down to the course for the first time that he realized how inconvenient the golfing process is. With the vision of “Increase young generation’s passion towards golf through the implementation of technology”, Ian founded Green Jacket Sport, Ltd in 2013 and Japanese branch in 2017.
