He had 15+ years of AI experience before establishing Appier, primarily applying AI algorithms in the field of machine learning and autonomous control, including autonomous four-legged robots and self-driving cars. He also has published tens of publications in the field of AI robotics and machine learning. His Ph.D. thesis was also nominated by IFAAMAS as the best thesis of the year in the field of multi-agent AI in 2011. He also served as a researcher at Harvard University’s Wyss Institute. He was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum, making Appier Inc. the only Asian AI company to make the list. Ali Fund is focusing on Taiwanese entrepreneurs related to Alibaba eco-system. Total fund size under managed is around US$150m. Prior to establishing these two funds, Ryan is the executive vice president of CDIB Capital Group(CCG), he was in charge of direct investment in high tech industry. Prior to CCG, he was the founding CEO of MosArt semiconductor corp after graduated from National Taiwan University Department of Electrical Engineering. MosArt was a successful wireless IC design company. Not only with venture capital experience, Ryan has more than 20 years of experience in high-tech industrial entrepreneurship. Ryan is very active in Taiwan startup community. He is now the mentor of Garage+ accelerator of EPOCH foundation and he is also the Committee Member of government's startup programs. Ryan acted as the director for Honchuan, STL and Jochu. He is currevntly the director of Zentera, GreenVin, Fiiser, Viscovery and Achieve Made International Events
