Catherine Lu is a Taiwanese TV News Anchor and Bilingual (English and Chinese) Show Host. She graduated from National Taiwan University with a major in Political Science, specializing in technology and business trends, and international relations. She is the first female News Anchor in Taiwan to interview Google’s CEO Eric Schmidt. She has hosted several interviews in English with well-known CEOs and Politicians in Asia, including Masayoshi Son (Softbank), Kai-Fu Lee (AI Technology Pioneer), Ang Lee (Hollywood Film Director), and Audrey Tang (Minister without Portfolio in Taiwan). She also has experiences working as the Host for EBC Financial News, TVBS, and YahooTV. Catherine currently hosts programs at Storm Media and UFO Radio. At the same time, she has her own English interview program called "Ask the Expert".

Prior to starting Hive Ventures, Yan was Chief Product Officer and Head of International business of iClick Interactive (NASDAQ: ICLK), spearheading product innovations and driving business growth globally. Yan was also Founder and CEO of Buzzinate, a leading Data platform and service provider that merged with iClick in 2014. The success of Buzzinate also led Yan to be honored as “Forbes’ 30 under 30 Entrepreneurs of China” in 2012 as well as Campaign Asia’s 40 under 40 in 2018.

William is a General Partner at SOSV, the #2 most active angel and seed stage investor in the world 2019 with US$700m under management. At SOSV he is the Managing Director of Chinaccelerator, the first accelerator to launch in Asia and the only accelerator in Asia to have a unicorn come through its program: BitMEX - the #1 crypto exchange in the world by trading volume. He is also Founder and Managing Director of MOX - the Mobile Only Accelerator - providing startups with free user acquisition to the 70 million smartphone users on the platform. William joined SOSV from SingTel Innov8 Ventures where he was a founding Managing Director supporting China investments. Prior to that William was a Partner at Softbank China & India Holdings, a venture capital firm backed by Softbank and Cisco, leading investments in China and South East Asia. Previously, William spent 11 years as an equity research analyst most recently with Deutsche Bank where he was a top ranked analyst for Asia Internet and China Tech, Media and Telecom and worked on IPOs for Alibaba, Kingsoft and eLong (Expedia China).

Akio is a Co-founder and Managing Partner at Infinity Venture Partners, an early stage VC fund focused on consumer Internet companies in China and Japan. He was the head of the venture investment program at Adobe (Asia) and was responsible for its corporate venture investment. Previous to Adobe, he was the CTO at Macromedia JP, working as part of the management team and Tech Advisor to the CEO. At the US HQ, he advised the CEO on investment and M&A strategies. He holds a Master’s degree from UBC in Vancouver and graduated with first place.

WU is a content producer and writer with background in print media, video, and now audio. She’s been a part of award-winning documentaries, trend-setting animations, news, underground film festivals and branded projects. In August 2019, she launched Ghost Island Media, a podcast network that features breakout voices and brands in both English and Mandarin to the worldwide audience. There are currently five shows. Among them, “The Taiwan Take” is nominated for an Excellent Journalism Award in Taiwan; “Waste Not Why Not” is a certified circular economy solution by SITRA Fund. Emily has worked in Taipei, Hong Kong, Beijing, and Shanghai. She graduated from Wellesley College in the U.S.

Cindy Chen joined the Adecco Group in 1993 and is now the Regional Head of The Adecco Group Taiwan & Korea. Cindy spent 27 years in Adecco Taiwan where her roles included Country manager, General manager of Adecco Staffing business, Branch manager in Taipei and Kaohsiung and consultant, playing a key role in expanding service market and restructuring of the business for both countries.

"Kevin Chiu is current Sr. HR Director, PAP Region in Acer, mainly responsible for design and implementation of regional HRM, regional HR strategy, leadership enhancement program, talent development, and new business HR management. Prior to joining Acer, Kevin worked for Dow Chemical as Taiwan HR Head and Global HRBP for Electronic materials. Kevin also worked for other famous MNC companies, such as Delta Electronics, Ford Motor Company, and PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers) consulting firm. Kevin holds an MBA from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, USA, and a Master in Industrial/Organizational Psychology degree from National Taiwan University, Taiwan."

David is a strategic and data-driven HR expert. More than 14 years of multinational companies work experiences in electronics, biotech, software, digital advertising, data, and internet industries. Joined Vpon Big Data Group in 2014, now serves as Vice President of Strategy and Human Resources. He coordinated and assisted Vpon to build multi-national operation practices among Taipei, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Osaka, Shanghai, Singapore and Bangkok offices. Invited as a speaker to share data analysis and practices, brand marketing, company culture, and HR marketing, multi-national HR management, creative and innovation skills, digital work, and career development consulting, etc. Loves to join different communities to learn and share.
